Here’s an interesting way to inform the general public about different health risk factors affecting millions of people in the U.S. and Europe. Carnegie Mellon University has created a website that will show your death risk rankings based on the information you provide such age, gender, race, lifestyle, family history etc. The backbone of the system is a something called death calculator, an intelligent program that analyzes the odds of you dying with a certain period or the most likely cause of your demise. Quite scary.
Unlike other sites like the death clock, this one is based on hard statistics gathered in the U.S. and Europe. Morbid as it is, the group behind this site hopes to raise awareness about different risk factors affecting us.
